Our Explorator wheels are made for everyday use, its modern and ideally shaped alloy rims combined with our heavy-duty spokes and straight-pull hubs make these wheelsets the real workhorses of our line of wheels. And at this price-point, this is what people mean when they say “value for money”. These 42mm versions are ideal for daily training. Quite aerodynamic and still handle nimble. The big box-shaped rim is extremely stiff and makes this wheel very ideal for riders that cannot find “stiff enough” wheels due to their riding style, or perhaps taller or heavy built riders.

The solid straight pull hubs are supported by very good quality industrial bearings and a 4-pawl ratchet system. They can be upgraded with either EZO Japanese bearings or even ceramic bearings. Freehub bodies for either Sram XDR or Campagnolo are also available, as well as retrofit axles for either QR or X15 bicycle frames.

The 42mm rim profile comes with 19mm inner width and offers great stability for tires up to 36c.

The wheels are built with heavy duty Talon aero spokes creating a package at an amazing performance and price. Explorator wheels are available as disc brake only.

Available in 'Albi' and 'Obscurus' color ways.

We recommend using Ere Tubeless tires with Ere ProClose sealant for tubeless set-ups.

For clincher tires we recommend using our Tubus inner tubes.

Please be reminded to use valves with a minimum length of 60mm. Valve extenders are available from Ere.

All orders are shipping for free. That's right, ere will not charge any shipping fees.

DELIVERY TIMES

Your order will be processed immediately. Normally all orders placed before 17:00 CET will be shipped that day. We will not ship out any products during weekends and public holidays.

You will receive a shipping confirmation with track and trace information. Normal delivery time is 2-3 days for orders inside Europe. Global shipping might take a few days more to get there. Don't worry, you will always be able to track and trace your parcel.

Explorator GC45

Designed with everyday riding in mind, the Explorator GC45 wheelset is equipped with brushed alloy rims with anodised finishing. The finishing will protect the rims from all different weather conditions and keep them in perfect shape.

The wheels are available with black or black/white decals. The black wheels come with black/grey hubs and the black/white colorway has a nice black hub with red details.

Explorator wheels come standard with industrial sealed bearings. Optionally we offer upgrades with Japanese EZO sealed bearings or ceramic bearings for superlow rolling restistance. Designed to keep your wheels spinning.

For our Explorator wheels we use flattened Ere Research Talon Aero spokes made of steel. The Talon Aero spokes offer up to 30% weight saving without compromising strength. The black aero spokes are straightpull and come fitted to the wheels with black alloy nipples. The alloy nipples come in 0.3 gram.
