Kigali, 23 September 2025 — Dutch rider Megan Arens claimed the UCI World Championship Time Trial title (junior women) today in Kigali with a stunning performance on the demanding 18.3 km course. Arens stopped the clock at 25’47”41, securing the rainbow jersey with a commanding lead.
Her dominance was clear:
-
Paula Ostiz (Spain) finished second, 35 seconds behind.
-
Oda Aune Gissinger (Norway) placed third, 37 seconds down.
Arens delivered her decisive blow on the brutal Côte de Kimihurura climb (1.3 km of cobblestones), showcasing both her power and precision pacing.
Crucially, Arens achieved this triumph riding on one of the fastest wheels in the world: the GENUS AE92-D front, a time trial wheel celebrated for its unrivalled aerodynamics and ultra-lightweight construction. At just 890 grams, the AE92-D is purpose-built for saving every watt and every second.
This victory marks a milestone for us: our first official UCI World Championship title on Genus wheels. It follows the breakthrough success of last year’s Tour de France, where Biniam Girmay secured the prestigious green jersey while riding Ere Research Genus II wheels during the time trials. Together, these results confirm the performance of our wheels at the highest level of international cycling.
“We are incredibly proud to see Megan take the rainbow jersey on our Genus wheels,” said [Spokesperson/CEO Name]. “This world title proves that our commitment to aerodynamic innovation and lightweight design delivers real performance advantages when it matters most.”
