Saddle Ergonomics

Our studies and experiences throughout the last 20 years, and the ongoing study we’ve initiated with theUniversity of Stanford Medicine,have shown that no person is the same in terms of saddle needs. Every person has a different build, posture, flexibility and soft tissue shape.Our saddles areunisex, because we believe that there is no universal shape for female or male riders. We have seen that in many cases male riders fit so-called female saddles much better and vice versa. This has been seen on both a recreational as well as on a professional level.This shows us that our body and in particular the pelvic region does not fit in a global standard. Therefore it’s our job to offer suitable solutions for recreational and performance cyclists.

The Genus Pro saddle

The Genus Pro saddle is a flat saddle. This is the ideal shape for riders that can rotate their hips more easiliy and like to move around on the saddle.

This saddle was designed with a narrow neck. This was done to make sure that the inner thigh has enough space and will not rub against the saddle. Especially when pushing more deeply into the power-transfer position.

The Omnia saddle

The Omnia is the result of the natural evolution of the pre-shaped saddle.

This saddle combines comfort, fit and performancefor riders that need help rotating their hips forward or just want to be in that deep push-power-transfer position.

Comfort Trigger

Choosing your own level of comfort on the flySometimes a quick note or sketch can become arevolutionary product; An innovation that will change the way we use our performance saddles. Please welcome our new Ere Comfort Trigger system.

The Comfort Trigger is a patented system by Ere, that lets the rider adjust the flexibility of the saddle while riding. Adjusting the level of comfort or flexibility is required when a rider encounters varying situations, such as changing road surface or an uphill climb. It can also be used for comfort during a long endurance ride. With this system we are able to achieve a 10nm difference between the 3 adjustment positions the Comfort Trigger offers.

Saddle structure

The dynamic torsion bar is an etra bar connection between the two sides of the saddle understructure.

This exrta torsion bar was added to make the overall structure stronger. The Cofort Trigger System puts more stress on the saddle base and rails. The torsion bar ensures the loads are spread evenly across the material. It also prevents the rail from spreading outward, which can cause the saddle base to bend out of shape and has early fatigue effects on the rails.

The torsion bar might seem a small innovation, it makes a lot of difference for the product.

Advanced composite lay-up process

Advanced composite lay-up process (ACLP) is our thorough way of using compisites in the best possible manner. Composites can be used in different ways. In order to achieve the desired result, we combine calculations, laboratory testing and real-life riding conditions.

We combine our experience and availble resources to try and think outside of the box. In order to go where nobody has gone before. Today, ACLP is usedin a veriety of Ere products, such as rims, hubs and saddles.

The Genus Pro saddle's carbon fiber lay-up allows the amount of flex in the saddle. We developed the Comfort Trigger to have 10Nm flexibility between the three lever positions. By using ACLP we designed the best possible result at the lowest weight.

We believe that a saddle fit should be done by a bike-fit professional. He/she can offer advice and fit the correct saddle that is in line with the overall bike fit. At ere we think it’s our job to provide the saddle fitter and bike fitter with the right tools to help them create the perfect setup for a rider.
